Animation (8/10)

The very first opening scene with the cherry blossoms dancing in the air was really elegant and captivating. The scenery was very visually appealing. It was nostalgic looking at the characters participating in school sports and activities. It reminded me of my own school life when I participated in school band concerts and competitions.

Characters (5/10)

But the main couple was pretty awkward. It reminded me of a puppy love or amateur love. They would glance at each other, and turn away. The main couple had an blushing faces filled with embarrassment. They would steal glances at each other. Aside from hand holding and a kiss, there wasn’t much chemistry and physical intimacy between  Akane and her boyfriend (Koutarou). Akane was much closer to her track team. While the main lead  (Koutarou) loved to play musical instruments and dance in preparation for the festival. He also read books, and aspired to be a writer.

The last episode had a scene where the male lead (Koutarou) chases after his first love: Akane Sadly, he did try his best to study hard for high school entry exams to get in the same high school as her but failed. The scenes where she knits a scarf for him reminds me of another show. Overall, it was a 5/10 show. It has its fair share of love triangles, and generic romance tropes like teacher-student romances.

Music (5/10)

High pitched J-pop songs, and festival music.

5/10 story
