I think the best part of this brief story is the way the one character's uncomfortability is portrayed. The way fe doesn't quite know whether fe should broach the subject or not and the small sweat beads that form as fe tries to act nonchalant and casual. As with many (all?) of this author's oneshots, it hyperfocuses on a single idea/emotion and executes it quite smoothly. It should be mentioned that this hyperfocus does make it so it ends in a way that could maybe feel unsatisfactory to some readers (i.e. it's open-ended). I thought the ending was fitting though.

Tricky story , a left up ending , and kinda leaves you wondering what the moral and conclusion is , maybe from my side it was that the friend didn't want him to leave , he didn't knew how to properly reach out for help and startled so he was a little terrified , he might have wanted to make him happy and gave him a present like the peaches , but in the end the character does intend to die and was preparing for it , don't know if he was spared or in the end left , but one thing can be predicted that his friend came on time if it would have been late but still feels like it spares a lot like to a experience
