A very cute set-up for a wriggly romance, with the interactions from this proto-couple making me blush and squirm from the adorability. Oscar has a roguish and devil-may-care attitude, liking to tease Tinaasha, and fe is also a very powerful fighter. Tinaasha, or the Witch of the Azure Moon, is one of five remaining witches on the planet and is exceedingly adept and powerful at magic in addition to being beautiful and reacting cutely to being teased. Almost immediately upon Tinaasha moving to live with Oscar, fe gets embroiled in a murder mystery--the roots of which are currently still in the process of being unearthed. I really like the two main characters and their interactions. I am pretty okay with the side characters as of this point, though I hope they continue to be fleshed out as the series goes on. I imagine that, long-term, we'll be introduced to all four of the other remaining witches and there will be some sorta plot related to each of them. What I hope doesn't happen though is some of those witches becoming love rivals and the story devolving into a harem (and as of now, I have zero reason to imagine that happening other than pessimism).

QRD:Taking into account the WN and LN, it's all just one giant headache. I'd also avoid the anime when it drops, pick 1 of the 3 and stick to it. This story itself is based on that predetermined partner type of trope, where it's set in stone, you know what ship is gonna sail. The action and fantasy elements are decent, but not enough to help you get through the mind numbing romance elements and the cliches that come with it. An immortal witch and a naive prince, spells for a bad time, there's probably some time travel schtick in there somewhere.
