To be honest, I started this because I saw the ending. It was hard to like the ML at first as I can't forget him hurting the FL. But after that, I can see his gradual change and viola, now a ML that's madly in love. It was a dark story and literally the scenes too HAHA! But my coins (in Inkr) and time are well spent so I am happy. You should try this one. We only have rare completed historical fiction romance genre that have good plot. 🙃

Wow! Just wow! The female characters in this show are feral and fierce. If you want strong female characters, this is the one for you. The men are no slouches either. This isn't your standard harem drama, and there were so many twists and turns. There's a strong fantasy element mixed in with the backstabbing and scheming of the main characters.  It has a lot of romance, but this is mostly a political thriller. Highly recommended. There's no isekai or transmigration. I wouldn't exactly call the MC OP, but like many people, she has supernatural powers. Some parts can be a bit dark. This is not a cute, frothy drama about the Imperial Court.  It's about an emperor involved in a power struggle with the dowager empress. He's trying to take control of the throne, but has zero power. His battleground is the harem and he uses the women as weapons. I've read all but the last three chapters.

Despite giving this a high rating, this is for the first part only(im doing this in one so its easier to read at once) the story was great and the MC is very cool... but it in the end its one sided landslide covered by a pity party for literally every person. This is the first time ive read something like this so it was cool and like a breath of fresh air, but it got boring by the second part and became too different from the first season considering the MC is basically acting like everyone else in the entirety of the palace, which i didnt want at all. the MC gave us a reason to like her and hate the others, but now shes juust like the rest, jaded by the cruel past of the palace and it doesnt go with the story well.
