Geh, that photograph of glass shattering mixed in with the drawn artwork looked bad. The artwork in general reminds me of childrens' books, kinda. I think it's the way thinks are colored. It reminds me of colored pencils, but also grainy. Most of the panels just consist of the main character drawn in various poses, which doesn't amount to compelling or immersive use of pictures and instead just looks like a series of fan art. In fact, the pictures feel so disconnected from each other at times that I initially mistakenly thought that the final picture wasn't intended to be read as occurring chronologically after the picture before it. Anyway, my scores are low because this is a promo chapter. I haven't read the novel nor have I read the manhwa series which ended up coming about. I think the premise of the story has potential, but it was moreso the synopsis that got me intrigued about the premise and not this oneshot. In fact, if anything, the oneshot unnecessarily cluttered things by emphasizing the "Grand Duchy of Luxen"...as though the precise location is at all relevant in such a short promotional piece. It's just awkward.
