Rental Onii-chan - Reviews

I feel like most people are forgetting the main point of this manhwa, the story is beautifully drawn and illustrated really well and you can tell just by each chapter, as you progress more you feel with the characters and you feel remorse for Kanami who struggles to find a way to make her older brother happy again, as you follow along from each chapter you start to see that Kanami learns to be responsible and to always be happy during hard times to make her older brother happy, but she fails a lot of time and that's why she rents an older brother to fill the void that her brother didn't do so. Each chapter feels like you read through a book with chapters of failures and success, success in learning how to care for others, and failure to try and project your best self to the person you want to respect and have them respect you in return.

This manhwa really makes me feel warm inside like drinking hot chocolate with the sweet bitterness at the end with the warm and cozy feeling like you are about to fall asleep.

this one hit a little bit too close to home with how similar the dynamic with kanami's (the protagonist's) family and my own relationship with my mother is. my crying actually started a major fight between said mother because of this manga so you better know it's really good

theres smth so human about this, like the feeling of gratitude or desperation that mix in with the bitter love?? 
The bro is an ass. But he has a good fucking heart that i know is in him and makes me wanna slap the hell out of him to snap him outta it.
it was very hard to not cry during this.
Kanami's worries and fears feel so damn genuine, and you can tell that she really just wants the best for everyone.

Honestly it is a heartbreaking manga that we see a guy hurting and neglecting his own baby sister like how can you forgive someone like that? I’m surprised that CPS hasn’t knocked down that house door and saw the state of that place cause my god, it was so unfair for Kanami chan to live in that house. To be quite honest, she’s better off with her rental onni chan and his friendliness of friends!
