This manga is written and illustrated by the same creator of ReLIFE, Sou Yayoi.

They are both in a high school setting.

I love the art in ReLife, I thinks the artist did a great job. For that reason alone I'd be interested in checking out their other work.

Both deal with the darker aspects of life like depression, anxiety, suicide, and bullying, but with a light-hearted and wholesome approach that makes you hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that if you surround yourself with good friends, you can get through anything.

ReLife is more on the scifi side with its pill while Blue Hearts is more slice of life. Both manga have excellent humor and delivers the message across brilliantly

They both tackle common problems we encounter as a person, but are normally shunned simply because it is not addressed properly. It makes you look at a different perspective and help you reassess how life and reality truly unfolds.

For different reasons and dynamics, both main characters (around 28 years of age) are given the chance to live, once again, the highschool life in disguise. There's only one rule: do not get busted.

They're both stories filled with cuteness and they're also both heartwarming. It's good to read at times when you feel like breaking down because if I had a second to think and you ask me what word first comes into my mind when thinking of these two, I would immediately say RELATABLE. There's drama here and there from time to time and even though I'm not found of drama, there are some exceptions and these two are examples of that. It's just that everytime there's drama, It feels so relatable that I actually want to keep going and reading despite my eyes shedding tears like a river...

That's how good it is.

How I Found It in July

What would you do if you found out that you were in fact a character in a comic? And an extra character on top of that? Change the course of the story, obviously!

The premise of these two webtoons is very different, but the setting and overall feel that I get from them is similar.

Machida-kun no Sekai

Machida-kun no Sekai

Machida-kun seems like the perfect brother, son, and student because he loves people. Helpful when he needs to be, but puts himself down when he feels like a total failure. However, the people that surround his daily life are there as a reminder as why Machida-kun needs no improvements because the people love Machida.

Both have great main characters and incredible endings with a similar feel of inevitable hopelessness throughout. Both have the concept of time running out and both have great last few chapters that will leave you feeling empty and glad you read the manga.
