You should also note that there's two versions of chapter one; there's the original cliche one where the drugged guy runs into a drunk girl and they have sex of dubious consent, and a revised version where nothing sexual happens, he just takes care of her.
The male lead is like a puppy begging for love around the female lead, and they have a pretty good relationship, especially after they get over his big lie and she decides to trust him. When she says that, she actually trusts him. Amazing! That's something I do like about this couple, that they'll make a mistake or something and then they'll actually learn from it. Their relationship actually progresses.
Spoilers: [Like, at first Ye Zhong Jue gets jealous over the second male lead, but later on when they have a fight and Mo Su Qing stays over at the second male lead's house, he has a talk with the second male lead and says something like 'she should stay there, as that's the place that's safest for her right now. When he's not with Mo Su Qing, Ye Zhong Jue's a decisive person. He's the kind of guy who if he lies and tells you he knows how to do something, will spend hours learning how to actually do it. And he loves showing off his relationship lmao.
Mo Su Qing is a pretty normal person, like she'll be nervous around her boss, and rumors will affect her; she's soft, but she actually has a spine of steel, and it does show sometimes when she's challenged.
