The plot ... it's one of the best things about the whole thing, so many twists and turns and cliffhangers. AND THE FORESHADOWING. INCREDIBLE. But what sold me ultimately was the characters, what they chose to pay attention to or be obsessed about, what they lie about and when they choose to open up, and when they intentionally ignore something ... The summary might lead you to think that this is the classic Enemies/Rivals to Lovers trope, but it isn't the case at all! Their dynamic has a particular, more specific flavor that I really adore. I almost cried after reading Chapter 27. It truly made me hold my breath. I wish what was revealed in that particular chapter is later addressed in a more satisfying ending, because I kept holding my breath after Chapter 27, but it never was. It wasn't brushed off, but I didn't get to see a happy ending for it. I do see why the author might have chosen to make it this way, though, and it is ultimately very consistent with the character. If anything, all along, it's been hinted on from the start -- that it happened, and that it will never be addressed in a "neat happy ending" way. And I think that's great storytelling, even if I'm kind of disappointed I didn't get what I was hoping for. Content warnings: Usual themes of murder violence etc, sexual harassment, sexual assault

I have to say, this shounen ai was a pretty decent one with two detectives who are polar opposites (Seohun is an arrogant buck and Haejoon is a serious stoned face with attitude). I did find this dragged a bit at times especially with a lot of the flashbacks involved quite a lot in this manhwa as well as involving a good few characters that I forgot their names. Look the ending is satisfied yall so happy days for me that I enjoyed this BL cause it’s so damn hard to find one to enjoy ngl!
