Both The ember Knight and Gilgamesh or The epic of Gilgamesh are set in the same world and Universe with occasional reacquiring characters and beliefs.

Gilgamesh is the prequel to the ember knight.

but do keep in mind that if you like TEK for the mind games that the protag pulls and are reading Gilgamesh for that then you will be somewhat disappointed. Of course, there are some great strategies that are used but in Gilamesh the characters usually just duke it out with experience and skills.

Gilmesh is very different from TEK. But it does add a LOT of world-building to this universe and it is still a pretty fun read, but if you wanna just know the world-building that happens then just read the side stories and the ending, but I don't recommend that.

These are two series with stories that focus on the developing bonds between characters in extreme circumstances. The action is well paced and the emotional payoffs are good.

Immortal character, nice fighting scenes, badass and strong female chars, although the vibe is quite different, it's a great manhwa.
