Pure White Elizabeth has entrancing art and attractive characters, completely amazing world-building and a plot that I haven't seen in another work as of now. And yet, the more you read, the more it falls apart. This manhwa is about a young girl named Elizabeth, who has a power foretold by legend that could change the world as they know it. She's kidnapped by cultists, abused, and rescued by the (possible) male lead. He takes care of her and tries to get her to be recognized for her power without incurring the wrath of the government due to summoning demonic beasts. After that, the plot just falls apart. I honestly don't know what happened from Chapter 15 onwards. Why did they decide to go with this route? Why introduce so many characters in so little time? Why rush the character introductions? They bring up more questions than answers and it cheapens the story by a lot in such a short time. There's one character who they went ballistic on, straying away from what they've established at the start of the series about them and the believability for their reasons just drops. After that, I felt a little detached from the story because the manhwa didn't follow the same rules they've set at the beginning. Nevertheless, the art looks amazing and I'm glad that the artist is so talented! The world had promise as well and I feel like if they took the time to craft their thoughts and pace it a little slower, the magic they live in would be revealed in a way that feels more organic and real. Some criticism I found about this manga was is about how the plot seems like they're setting up the ML and the FL to end up together, despite the massive age gap between the two. By age gap, I'm referring to a 10 year old child and a 20 something man. I pushed through with reading it because it wasn't explicitly shown and mentioned, so I wanted to see if the author really will push the boundaries and set them up together. The author does try to give us a backstory through flashbacks separate from the main story and it kind of explains why things proceeded as they did. I've read up to Chapter 27 and their relationship seems more like a caretaker and child (like Athy and Claude) than a romantic one so I'm keeping an eye out.  Should you read it? I say give it a try until Chapter 20 and then think if you want to pursue this manga further. Reviewed at Chapter 27.

Review chapter 56 season 1 finale I feel like all the synopses on the main page I've seen both on this site and others don't set the right expectation for this webtoonThis is not your typical romance novel, the heroine has memories of the past but is not reincarnated, she is rescued by the ML but the focus is not on heart-warming scenes even though they are present. The adventure is more present than in most novels of the "living a second life to be happy" type, but it's still not  ONLY about adventures.I feel like it was a very harmonious mix of genres and I liked it. The other difference is that this webtoon has a defined plot, objectives, and linearity, which means that this is not a slice-of-life aimed only at Gratifying scenes. I like both genres, but I was surprised because the synopses I read actually gave a completely different impression.Things got a little hectic around chapters 20/30 but nothing that spoiled the pacing. For any adventure manga/webtoon this pace actually makes sense. Also, the characters that appear are actually interesting, I liked it a lot. My main concern is the relationship between MC and ML. From the flashbacks, I'm 99.9% sure he's ML. But so far their relationship is not romantic or even of caregiver/father. In fact, it's more like a protector, he also doesn't have any feelings other than wanting to protect her, so everything is proceeding innocently, he even mentions that he will not be her guardian so I believe they won't make the dreaded transition from father figure to romantic figure. For those who have the same concern as me :So far this is far from grooming, he has no intentions other than protecting her. He sees her exclusively as a child and isn't responsible for raising her, so it's not like she's emotionally attached to him only to be used romantically later.Their relationship is reasonably ambiguous because of their past life. But she's the only one who has those memories, and she doesn't act romantically with him. Like him, she just wants to protect him for now. For me, as long as the romance doesn't develop until she's an adult again and she has her memories back( which will ensure she's physically and mentally able to grant consent) I don't mind reading on. Otherwise, I will drop this. On the plus side, an entire season went by without the author crossing the line, so I have a little more confidence in this, enough to recommend the 1 season that I've read.
