Mao may look like an ordinary middle school student, but in truth he’s from a clan of werewolves. On his fifteenth birthday he must devour the flesh of a willing sacrifice to become a fully-fledged werewolf himself! There’s just one problem, Mao doesn’t want to become a full werewolf and he’s found the perfect way to prevent his transformation: he’s going to become a vegetarian…

There are essentially three reasons why this oneshot is trash: The artwork is low quality. It uses stub-handed chibi forms, big eyes, and glossiness to try to look cute. But the curves and ecchi shots are entirely unattractive, the characters are overly generic, and the panel backgrounds mostly just consist of action lines. It's weak and unimpressive artwork. The climactic moment (when Mao faints) is based on fem having low blood pressure from skipping meals. But why was Mao skipping meals in the first place? Being a vegetarian in no way requires you to skip meals...It feels like this manga is equating vegetarianism with fasting and acting as though those are the same thing, even though they are vastly different things. Now, if the manga were arguing that werewolf physiology is somehow different from human physiology and requires an intake of meat in order to function in daily life without fainting, then that would be one thing. But the manga doesn't seem to be suggesting that. It literally feels like it's simply equating vegetarianism with fasting, which is just wrong and makes the author come across as ignorant and also feels like it's denigrating vegetarianism. The core hook of the manga is intended to be the sexualization of Mao's step-sister, Momoko. It's connected to the vegetarian thing by having Mao think of Momoko's "fat-filled" parts (namely, feir breasts and butt) as meat, being tempted to "eat" Momoko, and pushing femself to suppress those urges. The idea of eating Momoko specifically is presented as referring to both a literal consumption of flesh as well as simply being a sexual innuendo. This sexual tension aspect of the manga fails because it's just boring. There isn't actually any interesting relational tension (partially because it's so short, but also because the characters feel entirely unrealistic), nothing about the brief story is titillating or arousing, and the ecchiness within the artwork is of such low quality that it couldn't even be considered visually stimulating.
