I can't lie, I found the first dozen or so chapters to be much more engaging than the most recent dozen. And I fully recognize that that's because everything was still fresh then and the author was mainly just focusing on Mina's cuteness and hadn't yet brought in some of the other characters and subplots, but maybe that just means that this story would've been best suited as being more condensed. In the beginning, it was really endearing and adorable seeing Mina make miscalculations or overassessments and then feeling a bit down whenever it was pointed out. Fe would also slightly lift feir chin in pride whenever feir functionality was praised or shine feir eye-lights in happiness at being hugged or get excited or disappointed, but without ever actually changing facial expressions. These subtle indicators of emotiveness despite the emotionless face create for a cute dynamic. And to some degree, that type of stuff still goes on in the more recent chapters. But it's no longer as fresh, and there's also more focus on other stuff as well. And I'll just throw this out there, but I don't really care for Mamoru and I also don't really care for the inclusion of "neighbors" (and those who've read the series will know what that term's referring to). Great to see something new being brought to the table, though the backbone of the story degrades over time it's still a great read

Despite the title, this manga is full of emotion. It's a romcom between a human and his Cooking Model robot, Mina. She has a hard plastic plating for a face and she cannot make facial expressions, but she does emote through body language, and she is very cute.It feels a bit sad at times because the MC seems like he's just deluding himself in a relationship with a machine, like those guys in real life who marry their virtual waifus.But Mina keeps acting more and more human to the point I cannot fault him for his feelings. She seems to value efficiency and logic, but sometimes does things that are illogical, the reason for which not even she knows why.I really enjoyed this manga. The art is fine and it doesn't stand out as a unique style. It doesn't have to though, because it just proves that sweet and fluffy stories don't have to be all pretty and moe with their art. It's about the writing and characters.The only character which was not enjoyable was the 'neighbor' because the conflict involving her just kinda drops off without a satisfying conclusion. I felt like the author may have planned more with her, but ended up not following through on it.The other actual neighbor though. Ooh boy, what a twist that was. And it was a satifying conclusion too. Even though Takuma got so angry, he was right about Mina. Her reaction was a bit sad, but that's what makes her a cute robot character.I really recommend this manga!(Reviewed after chapter 35)
