Hyped for this series but the producers r going a in a bit unorthodox way by making 1hr episodes into stand alone movies. Hope they don't do it for all the major floors or it'll be too inconvenient to wait 5-6 months for every new SOA episode(movie chronology) for this arc. Heard there's a new SAO arc after Alicization so this scenario probably won't occur. Overall, Im feeling hyped for this sequel movie.

The Blu-ray for the first movie is still on preorder (and hasn't even been a month since its release on CR), Scherzo of Deep Night is still on its ¿7th? week of theatrical release. Guess it will still take some months if not another year for it to be available.

The Blu-ray release date is set for May 24th, you can expect it to be available around that time

As a movie it was good.
Good animation, great action, and great OST.

As a SAO remake it fricking sucks, the changes they made are garbage.

Asuna was decent as the support female, but no one asked for a change to the main character.
Making Kirito useless only to have a group of new female characters do everything in his place is plain dumb.

Great movie.
Also great SAO movie.
What some people seem to not understand is that the progressive movies are based on the progressive novels, meaning the movies didn't made changes to original SAO, but rather adapt an entirely different version.
