You know, I love psycho anime girls as much as the next person, but holy shit she is truly the most "oh-so perfect" Mary Sue- devoid of any likeable character traits whatsoever- that I have seen in the modern age of anime.
She has only ever lost a gamble ONCE. You'd think that would impact her personality somehow and give her some development, but nope. She remains an edgy bitch throughout the rest of the show and that just makes the outcomes of the games easily predictable to being in her favor.
She's not at all original either; I've seen countless characters- albeit equally poorly written characters- from other anime who act exactly like her, and combined with this show's severe case of same-face syndrome among its female cast, it doesn't help that she has the most generic female character design ever.
I recall liking her until Kakegurui got really popular, then I kinda realize how she's so boring because even with her flaws as a character (which not only do you need as a character or person, but you will always HAVE) she ends up ignoring it and not giving a crap, almost as if she doesn't even know about her flaws. For me that makes her really boring.
Also how is she so good as so much? I could understand those characters happening in a comedy but Kakegurui is the last show I would think of being funny tbh.
I really want to like Yumeko, but she's so boring and I have no reason to root for her besides she's one of the main characters. I'd even argue Ryota has more depth than her.
