Hes an entertaining guy, he is pretty straight forward for a character, but hes a soldier. He does have a personality. Hell during his mission in the desert he manages to get ptsd because he seen his allies that they did not respect Souske at first but manages to respect him later. So much he has trouble using the Lambda Driver.
Maybe not so good in anime - those stopped right before he was forced to show his other part. But in the novels - one of the best charcters i ever heard of. No superhero nor Marty-Stu, not your ordinary 14yo schooler with big mecha.
