My Neighbor Totoro - Reviews

One of the movies from Studio Ghibli. I really like the story and the art was very good...but the most interesting on this movie was the characters(especially TOTORO, my sister loves him). Anyway it was really good and i recommend to everyone.

YALL. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. this movie was boring AF LIKE WHAT. people are saying they love the story. BITCH WHAT STORYLINE I DONT GET IT. IT HAS NO PLOT. NO PLOTNOPLOTNOPLOTNOPLOTONPLOT. MEI IS THE MOST ANNOYING LITTLE KICKABLE ANT CHILD IN HISTORY AND ALL SHE DOES IS CRY LIKE STFU NOBODY LOVES YOU. I AM WRITING THIS WITH SO MUCH ANGER AFTER WATCHING THIS FILM. nothing happened. NOTHING HAPPENED. SOME HOBO CHILD COULD WALK UP TO ME AND ASK ME THE PLOT. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I WOULD SAY?????? DO YOU??????????? "I DONT KNOW IT DIDNT HAVE ONE" NONE. ZILCH. ZEROOOOOOOOO. AND TOTORO. HE APPEARED. 4 . TIMES. THE. MOVIE. IS. NAMED. AFTER. HIM????????????????? LIKE BITCH MIGHT AS WELL NAMED IT "ANNOYING KIDS CRY OVER MOM AND MAKE A BIG ASS SCENE THEN ANNOYING CHILD DISAPPEARS AND CRYS ON SOME STUBBY ROCK" IM GOING TO CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP. WORST MOVIE ALONG SIDE SPIRITED AWAY WHICH WAS EQUALLY BAD. WATCH THIS MOVIE TO PRATCICE CRYING IF UR AN ACTOR.THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS MOVIE WAS TOTORO AND THE SOUNDTARCK. ALL THE CARACTERS WERE SO ANNOYING THEY ALL CAN GO DROWN AND SWALLOW BRICKS. THIS MOVIE SHAVED OFF 40 YEARS OFF OF MY LIFE. ON TOP OF THAT A MOSQUITO IS HIDING IN MY ROOM. STORY IS A ZERO BUT BECAUSE ANIME PLANET IS A LITTLE BITCH AND WONT LET ME PUT THAT SO I PUT 1. GOODBYE. 

Ok. This movie was my childhood, I memorized all the words and believed in cats buses instead of the tooth fairy. I didn't own the dvd, so I made by friend lend it to me every week, in the end my parents had to get me a copy. 

There are no words . . . 

To me, this has to be one of the most overrated films of all time. The only thing I really like about the film is how the animation is beautiful for 1988 and the Totoro scenes. Now, let's get into the negatives. While I do love slice of life and how it takes place in a forest, this film pretty much doesn't have a plot, at all. Characters aren't as that interesting either especially how Mei is kind of annoying but Satsuke does have some good quirks. What's worse about the film is that even though it's called "My Neighbor Totoro", Totoro didn't appear until 30 minutes of the film. Heck, he barely even appeared at all.
