I really don't get why people hate it because of the "lack of plot" or stupid stuff like that, why does there always need to be intense drama and scandals for you people to enjoy an anime.

I'ts extremely cute and lighthearted and nice to finally see something where you know the two charachters only want eachother from the begining. Even with the side charavhters who are in love with the MC's, nothing stupid od scandelous happens and that bothers people for some reason.

I love it, I love how each person is true to who they are and I love that they're kids who actually act like kids and not adult whores who need attention from all the other options that are interested in them.

Granted the begining where Haru first meets Shizuku he says that shocking statement but as you watch more you know he wouldn't actually do that, although that line was in poor taste regardless.

I wish it would have been finished but even so as it is you know the outcome and if you really wanted to know the ending you can read the manga which is short enough to finish in a day or two.

If you're looking for something cute funny and short this is it. It's just kids being kids while trying to figure out how to love and having fun while doing it.

"My Little Monster" - A Heartwarming Tale of Friendship and Romance

Story (8/10): "My Little Monster" offers a delightful and heartwarming story of two high school students, Mizutani Shizuku and Yoshida Haru, who couldn't be more different. Shizuku is focused on academics, while Haru is known for his reckless behavior. Their unlikely friendship, budding romance, and the various challenges they face together form the core of the narrative. The story explores themes of personal growth, friendship, and the complexities of young love. While the pacing is generally good, it occasionally rushes through important plot points, which could have been explored in greater depth.

Animation (7/10): The animation in "My Little Monster" is decent but not particularly remarkable. Studio Brains Base provides colorful and clean visuals that effectively convey the characters' emotions and interactions. However, there are moments when the animation quality dips, and the character designs, while distinctive, may not stand out as much as those in other series. Nevertheless, the animation complements the story well.

Sound (8/10): The soundtrack and voice acting in "My Little Monster" enhance the overall viewing experience. The background music sets the mood effectively, and the opening and ending themes are catchy. Voice actors do a commendable job of bringing the characters to life, with particular praise for the main characters, Shizuku and Haru, whose voices suit their personalities and character arcs.

Characters (8/10): The characters are the heart and soul of "My Little Monster." Shizuku and Haru are well-developed and undergo significant growth throughout the series. Shizuku's transformation from a stoic and academically focused student to someone who begins to understand her emotions and the value of relationships is heartwarming to witness. Haru, with his quirky personality and troubled past, is equally endearing. The supporting cast, including their friends and classmates, adds depth and humor to the story, making it engaging and relatable.

Overall (8/10): "My Little Monster" is a delightful slice-of-life anime that explores the complexities of human relationships with humor and heart. While it may not boast the most exceptional animation quality, it excels in character development and emotional depth. As someone who has also read the manga, I can attest that the anime does justice to the source material, faithfully adapting the story and character arcs. If you're a fan of romantic comedies with a focus on character growth and genuine emotions, "My Little Monster" is a charming series that's worth watching.

If you like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, you'll most certainly like the female main character as well. Shizuku's just as annoying and no good for real human interacions as he is. The whole time she is quite firm and sadly only softens just a tiny bit. The other main character is Haru, who's a boy genious with anger managment issues. Just like Bruce Banner with a big sprinkle of insanity.

The whole show follows the "get together...oh wait I don't want to get distracted from studying thus I don't like you after all...oh wait I changed my mind" story of these 2. To tell you the truth I pushed to the end only to see them happily ever after because around the 7th episode the constant stonewalling of Shizuku got pretty boring. The nice happy ending stayed unfullfilled wich wouldn't be a probleme for me if there was a proper settling. Honestly I don't remember how it ended although I finished it yesterday.

I'm sorry for this anime as I expected an entertaining and bubbly show judging from Haru's character. Unfortunately he and the whole plot got sucked up into the black hole of Shizuku and everything got flat.

Story (3/10):

The plot starts off in a very unique manner, but then quickly goes downhill from there. First, the girl rejects the guy. Then the guy rejects the girl. Then it switches. Again. And Again. And again. And aga- You get the point. I saw quite a bit of potential in this series during the first few episodes, but after that, this show became a typical rom-com with rivals in romance appearing for both protagonists. Kaibutsu-kun's inability to take things seriously put me off the most. Issues that should have been resolved maturely, are instead ignored/interrupted/forgotten through the unpredictable and ridiculous acts of the main guy.

Animation (5/10):

The character designs are simple yet fitting. I'd say quality is about average, as motions and backgrounds are basic. I don't have anything else to say.

Sound (5/10):
The opening is okay and the ending is unremarkable. The voice acting is not bad. I think Shizuku's (female protagonist's) voice is the best/very fitting (just love how her voice always seems full of cynicism).

Characters (4/10):

The concept of a loner girl who enjoys studying is interesting. I can't say the nice but scary looking guy is original (look at Ryuuji from Toradora), but he is apparently very smart so that somewhat sets him apart from other characters like him. Unfortunately, his intelligence just seems like a plot device to piss Shizuku off at times.

Shizuku seems to develop a little, but she's so inconsistent, that I'm not sure. On the other hand, the guy (still can't remember his name) doesn't develop at all.

Other characters aren't anything special, as the show mostly resolves around the couple's (rocky, sometimes to the point of being annoying) relationship.

Overall (4/10):

Although I find the way the show started off interesting and original, you should watch only if you're bored and completely out of other rom-coms to watch.

Note: To people interested in the manga: Don't quote me on this, but I heard that the anime branches off from the manga around episode 4, which could explain the drop in quality of the story.

I WAS RECOMMENDED THIS ANIME ON THE PRETEXT THAT THIS IS A GOOD COMEDY...MAN, NOW 9 HAVW TRUST ISSUES!

SO THR ANIME HAS....NO PLOT...THE STORY GOES NOWHERE SND IS EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME. THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE BOTHERSOME AND UNINTERESTING.  AFTER BEARING UP SIX EPISODES, I DROPPED THIS. I COULDNT TAKE IT ANYMORE.

SO, THE STORY IS HOW HARU AND THIS GIRL (FORGOT HER NAME) BOND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE POLLS APART.  ITS A HIGHSCHOOL ROMANCE ANIME AND MAN IT TRIES REALLY HARD TO BE quirky AND CUTE....

THINGS THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE---

1).HARU FALLS IN LOVE WITH FEMALE PROTAG INSTANTLY.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT EXISTS BUT MAN, HIW THE HELL DID HE FALL F9R HER??? WHAT THE FUCK DID HE LIKE ABOIT HER??? WHAT??? HOW??? THERE ARR SEVEN WONDERS OF THID WORLD AND THE EIGHT ONE IS HOW THST FRMALE PROTAG CAN BE INTERESTING OR EYE CATCHING TO ANYONE??!! IM NOT BRINGINING DOWN WOMEN, KM A FEMAL TOO BUT MAN, THE FEMALE PROTAG IS BORING AS HELL, THERES NOTH9NG APPEALING ABOUT HER.

2) THE "I'LL RAPE YOU" PART. COMING FROM THE MALE PROTAGONIST TO THE FEMALE....WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY??

3) HARU IS A BULLY. HE ALSO BEATS UP GIRLS AND IS ABUSIVE TOWARDS HIS TEACHERS TOO.

4) THEY TRY TOO HARD TO ADD DRAMA WHERE THERE IS NONE. BAXKSTORIES OF BOTH PROTAGONISTS MAOES ZERO SENSE. THEY TRY REAL HARD TO SHOW THE LEADS HAVE BEEN THROUGH STUFF WHEREAS THEU HAVENT BEEN THROUGH ANYTHING AND WHAT U CAN CALL IT IS TEENAGE REBELLION.

5) UNNECESSARY STUFF AND NO PLOT. NO GROWTH NOTHING. THR AIDE CHARACTERS ARE JUST THERE TO FILL IN THE GAPS.

NOW THE CHARACTERS-

SHIZUKU (FEMALE PROTAG)- ONE OFNTHE MOST BORING CHARACTERS.  SJENISJT EVEN FIT TO BR A SIDE CHARACTER. ALL SHE DOES IS STUDY. SHE LACKS EMOTIONS AND HENCE IS PRETTY MEAN ...TOTALLY UNAPPROACHABLE,  UNRELATABLE, BORING AND JUST PLAIN UNINTERESTING. THROUGHOUT THE SERIES, HER CHARACTER REMAINS SUCH AND FOR HER WIERD DETACHMENT FROM EMOTIONS, IM NOT SURE.

HARU- BULLY, SHIRT TEMPERED,  GETS INTO FIGHTS WITHOUT A READON, INPULSIVE, MEAN, RUDE, SELF CENTERED. I DONT LIKE THE WAYBHE FORCES SHIZUKU ALOT AND IS RATHER ABUSIVE. NOT A TALL ENDEARING OR CUTE. JUST PLAIN NUISANCE.
