Lemme just tell u, the ending gets u so hard. I cried so much omg, being a mom myself made me hella cry. It's a sad thing watching everyone age with time, changing constantly, the troubles, the sorrow but most importanly just all the happy times. It's a uncomfortable feeling knowing one day us as a person woon't be here anymore but also such a beautiful thing. I think this movie really captured it all
(spoiler free review) this was so boring, idk why its highly rated. It had the potential to be good but fucked up. Its not very clear wats happening at times as it feels like theres some missing elements (the poster is pretty tho)
The story takes place in medieval times, with the anicent legends known as lorph's, they are an immortal clan who weave Hibiol, at war with Mezarate, who want their immortal blood, in such a catastrophe time peroid can immortals love? but why, when they will die?
That's the question the main character Maquia is questioning throught the film. Maquia is kind spirited, lonely, 15 year old girl. In the midst of an invasion from the Mezarate, she spots a dead mother holding tightly to her crying infant. Maquia sees this infant, and raises him.
Maquia goes through trials of what it means to be a Mother, and to love someone.
I don't want to spoil much more, but overall amazing anime. A total tear-jerker :)
