Both have phenomenal stories and embrace comedy and both are the best in their categories. Spy x family goes in a more familial way to families why kaguya sama goes for prestigious high schoolers

Place to Place

Place to Place

Everyone has a circle of friends they hang out with. But even within a small group there are smaller groups of friends, best friends and, here's where it gets complicated, boyfriends and girlfriends. Sometimes relationships just develop in a way where you're not exactly sure what you are to the other person. Which is the problem Tsukimi has when it comes to Io: he seems to be totally clueless about how she's starting to feel. It's a puzzle she'll have to solve in Place to Place.

Note: I made this rec because I think that Acchi Kocchi is underappreciated

Both are romantic comedies, and both are hilarious. However, you might not like Acchi Kocchi if you dislike romance in which one of the main characters is oblivious to the other's feelings. I think it is important to point out that both are romcoms where the romance part's sole purpose is for comedy. Because of this, both have little character development but are offset by solid character design.

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible

First year high schooler Junta Shiraishi is a mob character who goes unnoticed even when he's standing right next to you. But his classmate, "heroine-level beauty" Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings "love." Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy--let's call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!

Tsuredure Children

Tsuredure Children

To those of you out there who never could say "I love you" — This story is about ordinary highschoolers and how love makes them fired up, shaken, laugh, cry, and hurt. Whether things go well or not, this story of adolescence and romance will show you how they spend their precious youth. Every character is the main character here, and you're sure to find one you can sympathize with.

The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior

The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior

Thanks to his parents' job transfer, high school freshman Kazunari Usa finally gets to enjoy living on his own in Kawai Complex, a boarding house that provides meals for its residents. Ritsu, the sempai he always admired, also lives in Kawai Complex, along with a few "unique" individuals e.g. his masochistic roommate, Kinosaki; beautiful, big-breasted Mayumi who has no luck in finding men; and sly, predatory college woman Ayaka. Surrounded by all these people, Usa never finds his daily life boring.

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie

Shikimori and Izumi are high school sweethearts. They hold hands walking home from school, they flirt in the halls, they tease each other. But Shikimori knows what she wants and how to get it. She can turn from cutie to cool in an instant and Izumi loves to be around when that happens!

Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsura Sugiru

I, Teruaki Nakamura, transferred to a school Okinawa and developed a crush on a girl named Kiyan-san, but I don't understand her dialect. Higa-san is always helping me by translating the dialect. A slightly different cultural love starts on the southern island.

School Rumble

School Rumble

Tenma Tsukamoto is young, bright, and smitten with the school hottie Oji Karasuma. She's desperate for his attention, which is unfortunate considering he barely gives her the time of day! Throw Kenji Harima, the school delinquent with a crush on Tenma into the mix and you've got one twisted love triangle of unrequited proportions! Can love find the trio happiness before their attention-grabbing stunts end up hurting more than their egos?

Sentimental Journey

Sentimental Journey

In twelve cities, twelve different girls will experience love, heartache, and the joys of their lives. While one has a chance encounter on a train that leads to a brief but brilliant friendship, another performs meaningful ballads with her band. A violinist wishes for nothing more than to find a man she can love, and another pines over the one who got away. Each girl, through thick and thin, will feel what it’s like to truly care about someone.

Megane na Kanojo

Megane na Kanojo

For most people, wearing glasses is a necessity for clear sight, but for four young girls, their spectacles mean so much more. From a teenage girl wearing her glasses with pride and a top idol who uses hers to disguise herself as a regular person, to a couple whose bent frames bring them closer together, a good pair of glasses can not only open your eyes, but also open your heart.
