Gintama and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan are seemingly nothing alike, and other than one HUGE aspect, thats correct. That main aspect that mushes them both together: They're both hillarious with the same type of humor; Randomness and Perverted humor! Yes Gintama has other types of humor as well, but those are the two it has in common with Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan. While Gintama focuses more on the humor and less on the violence, it does have almost the same type of violence as Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan: Random, bloody violence with no rhyme or reason too it that just adds to the comical effect. Granted Nobody's cut in half over and over in Gintama, but there's no wodden swords that can slice a giant machine in half in Bokusatsu-Tenshi Dokuro-chan. They're both side-splitting, tear-jerkingly funny in a simlar way and they both deserve a watch!

Well, i know that is weird, but think about it. Dokuro-chan is about a strong girl who always hit her partner, if we think in Gintama every character hit to the others in every episode, if we want a charecter like Dokuro we have Kagura and Otae, yes is not the same character, but they are very similar, Kagura hits everyone and Otae hits the perverts. If we think in Gintoki and Sakura they have the same problem. Gintoki suffer all hits of kagura, Otae even Shinpachi. Sakura die because Dokuro kill him without want it (the most of the time)

In conclusion, a lot of fun with a lot of violence.

That is, unless the...

Both series are hilarious and pretty random. Their animation is pretty similar too.

I think that if you like one of these two, you'll also enjoy the another one.

Loved how the hero of the story constantly got attacked, harassed and had his life on the line the entire time, all while sticking with a completely oblivious girl? You'll love to see the exact same thing in the other show as well. Fans of spastic humor and shallow romance / ecchi rejoice, these two shows are just that. One warning though: Dokuro-chan is a lot more violent than Seto no Hanayome.
