Story: I heard a lot of good things about Lucky Star. However, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was funny but not hilarious. Maybe if I understood more of the parodies, I would have enjoyed it more. It was very light and cute. Nothing too serious or would take a lot thinking. I only took off points because it wasn't as funny as I was expecting. I was entertained for the most part but I wasn't incredibly excited to watch the next. Plot: Tall girl with short guy. Sounds crazy right but it's so endearing in many ways. Back in my shallower days, I didn't really want to watch Lovely Complex because I wasn't too enthusitatic about the whole tall girlxshort guy. However, I watched it and I loved it. It has an amazing mesh between romance and comedy which it supplies plently of both. Also, the realistic quality to Lovely Complex really adds so much to this series that really sets it apart. Story:  I’ve been playing the piano for over 9 years. I have a deep love for a lot of music and great appreciation for classical music. So when I heard of La Corda D’Oro, I was very excited. Two of my favorite things (shoujo and music) put into one. I thought that if at least the shoujo part turned sour, I had the music to look forward. I was disappointed in both aspects.
