STORY

Where to begin? Hmmm the best way to sum up this magical masterpiece is to watch a hentai called Papillion Rose which Kill la Kill stole the whole concept of its story from. Everyone knows that Hentai sucks but being a thief is so much more awesome. Not to mention this is the saviour of anime so you won't even notice when they introduce a plot point in the 2nd half of the series that completely destroys everything that just happened in the first half of the series. Also you can tell when a series has a truly incredible story when it has to try and fail horribly at attempting multiple parodies that it becomes a parody itself. So if you support theft and awful humor that doesn't even try to have a concise story that ties everything together then Kill la Kill has a story that is just for you.

   Does she seem Similar? Well guess what this isn't a certain someone's mother this is the main villain from Lingerie warrior Papillion Rose called Regina Apis not Ragyo Kiryuin. Who also happens to wage war with clothing. What is even more funny is that Ryuuko and Satsuki wear even skimpier outfits than these girls who are in a hentai if that doesn't tell you how incredible Kill la Kill is I don't know what does.

Animation

In episode 3 it shows its mastery of animation as Satsuki forgets how to walk so chooses to glide along instead...In episode 18 Ragyo somehow dodges Satsuki's sword skill by moving a step rather than actually dodging the blow. This fluid mastery of distrotion cannot be rivalled by any anime.

Sound

Worried that this anime is just a waste of time that cannot parody well, make you laugh or amuse you in anyway what so ever well don't be even the dullest moments are brought to epicness by an incredible soundtrack because Kill la Kill knew it was so dire it wouldn't be able to grab your attention in any other way.

Characters

In this unforgettable story you will be amazed by the memorable characters who will bring tears of sadness to your eyes every moment they are on screen. First of all we have the main character:

Ryuko

When this bundle of joy isn't busy having an incestual scissoring contest with her family members she will happily strip down just to remind you how badass she is. Ryuko is quite possibly the most badass female of all time she not only shouts and demands for information through force she could have gotten through theft or hiring a private investigator but she also loses to people who are over 60-80 times weaker than her on a regular basis. As proven in the 2nd half she has regen and the ability to cut buildings in half even without using Senketsu it just makes you think how she ever lost to begin with. In her remaining free time to remind us how deep a character she is, she will be busy having a mental break down that she has high speed regen and has the strength to cut buildings in half. Don't let her looks fool you Ryuko is quite possibly the most pathetic female character in anime ever. Not even the most sexist of anime have female characters that lose that badly with that much of a difference in power. Her favourite pass time is being perved on by Mako's fat old dad and his snotty little brat as she is a role model for all female exhibitionists.

Satsuki

When this adorable individual is not busy putting the mannlinest of men to shame with her epic eye brows and huge nose she will be busy moping about how she doesn't get to scissor and not get as much incestual actions as her sister. She bears this grudge with pride and is quite happy to show she comes out on top by stripping off at any opportunity even when she doesn't need to. Her favourite pass time is reading Mein Kampf.

Mako

A lovable character that never ceases to annoy you and will not ever step out of an incredible fight scene to get in the way and make some utterly useless comment that you would need to be heavily drunk to find funny. But then again most things are funny when you are that drunk...

Ragyo

If you want know more about this incestual scissoring dominatrix who is far too fond of clothes remember to look no further than the series she originally came from named Lingerie warrior Papillion Rose.

So incredible they are no longer associated with this masterpiece.

The rest of the memorable cast

They are so memorable and deep you feel so emotionally connected to all of them that you will have already forgotten them just like I did.

Summary (A more serious look at a series that isn't meant to be taken seriously)

Enough joking around it seemed appropiate for April's fools but now let's have a more serious look at Kill la Kill.

The story is a mess, such a mess there is little to no consistnecy first you have your typical facist regime with school council fights reminscent of Madoka box to the end of the world alien/zombie apocalyspe situation where they have a fight in space. If you enjoy the humor you might be able to rate it much higher but anyone who rates this story a 10/10 is lying to you to call this story a masterpiece is offensive to other incredible series like FMA.

Animation could be a lot better but its is pretty damn good for a newly established studio I wish them all the luck and hope more of the budget is put into constructing a better story next time. Since I am sure they will make a profit from Kill la Kill I think the studio can only get better and for my sanity I really hope they do.

Soundtrack is incredible in fact its what keep me going through watching this atrocity even the most mundane fights would excite you until Mako interupted them :(

Characters now this is where I had the biggest issue with the series it can be extremely funny when a parody is executed well in fact the Ragyo incest with her daugthers might not have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact it rammed it in your face on a fairly regular basis. No matter what reviewers or other fans say there is no defence for either showing this in such detail on a regular basis. I hate to criticise people directly rather than the anime itself but anyone who can defend the studio being this excessive is kind of a little creepy not the people who enjoy the anime just those who defend the incest scenes. These could have been alluded to or implied with the same impact but its clear that because its between two women it gets a free pass where as between brother and sister its considered creepy and two men would have made the fanbase drop to zero.

Finally I personally found Kill la Kill not only to be offensive with uneeded amounts of fan service for both genders but it was also an unfunny waste of time which is trying to undo all the positive feedback that Attack on Titan had generated for the anime industry recently. Any other issues I have with the plot are and the characters are explained above in a far less serious manner which of course is appropiate for a series not meant to be taken seriously. Now anime fans will once again be seen as basement dwelling fat people who are the bane of society and have creepy fetishes when anime fans are some of the nicest people I know its sad for Kill la Kill to not become the Saviour of Anime like it said it would be but the Bane of it. A 2/10 for the soundtrack and Nudist beach which did make me chuckle but a minus -1 for being a horrific influence the world of anime could do without.

Think I am wrong and love Kill la Kill then be sure to check out SAO season 2 and Fairy tail which has started re-airing I hate both of those series too. However I have more respect for Fairy tail and SAO than I ever will for Kill la Kill.
