Ill start off by saying that this is one of the most underrated anime that I have ever seen. I do not kno why it's not ranked in the top 100... ATleast! Story: This is about a group of friends who discover that they have abnormal powers when demons, and other creatures start infesting the city. They must work together with their friends, and friends they will make throughout their adventure. The story also becomes much more complex, and draws you in with no mercy. This is the best anime of 2011 and will probably never be beaten, I dont write many reviews but I do when I feel the need. This anime will make you laugh, cry, get frustrated, mad, pretty much any emotion you can think of. There are a lot of characters to connect to and scenerios. I Reccomend this anime to anyone who likes anime, any kind. Ill write a real review soon but all i gotta say right now is BEST ANIME EVER!!

I completely fell in love with this anime from the start of episode 1... Highschool of the Dead sucessfully combines so many genres, some are; action, romance, comedy, adventure, thriller, horror, ecchi, sienen, drama, harem, and probably more that I forgot. mainly if you like action/ romance anime definitely give this one a go because you will be begging for a season 2 just like I am!
