Right off the bat I want to say if you're considering watching Fire Force, do it. It is currently my favorite anime. If you're a person who relishes in good fight scenes, this is the anime for you. Fire Force is a perfectly great anime well equipped with humor and entertainment. It can be emotional, intense, and funny. Although I love it, the reason I have to give it an 8.5 out of 10 for storyline because the beginning drags on for a bit. It feels more like filler. The anime truly takes form and has REAL plot later on into the anime. However, as you can tell, that rating doesn't really impact my overall rating and there are a handful of reasons for that. First of all, although these are filler episodes they still manage to be so engaging you barely notice. They do offer some key important details such as characters, small plot points and a good look into the characters you''ll be investing in. Shinra Kusakabe is one of the greatest MC's I have ever seen. I can say confidently more often then not, the main character isn't usually my favorite. Shinra takes the spotlight in this story for me. His story arc is as mysterious as it is tragic which makes his charcter extremly interesting. Along with his background, his powers themeselves are perfectly unique and rare. He often reminds me of Natsu from Fairy Tail in the way that he gets stronger and stronger with each battle he has. His shark teeth and red eyes make him look especially cool during battles. The animation of this anime is a solid 10/10 and deserves nothing less. The fight scenes in this anime are one of the if not the best fight scenes I have ever seen. The intensisity remains high the whole time, and the animation is truly mind blowing. Kudos to not only the animators, but producers for their sountrack. The music and sound affects truly capture a force to be reckoned with. They truly accentiate themselves and watching it come together will make you rewind. I give the characters a 9/10. There is one character, Tamamki who feels like such a disapointment. So much so that she is a whole point deducted. For the pervs in the anime world, this character is for you. Tamamki truly exhibits potential to become a very powerful reoccuring character with her unique fire gifts, but it's always disrupted by her "lucky leechery." It's funny the first or second time, but when it happens everytime she's needed, it becomes very frustrating. Besides her, I truly adore every character for different reasons. If you like Shonen animes, this is for you. If you enjoy animation for it's beauty, this is for you. If you like comedy, this is for you. Great anime. Definitely worth at the very least a try.
