This review is applicable to all seasons up to 2020. [Might contain minor spoilers] Haikyuu is a show that I wanted to love. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. The story is typical, but nothing I hate. I love tournament arcs, after all. It starts off alright—you have a kid who's enthusiastic about volleyball and chases the dream despite the disadvantage of his height. I love that he became a secret weapon of sorts as he got better, but that's it. Once you see him spike and dash about enough times, it gets repetitive and boring.
