I've said it before and I want to double down on my statement... Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Is a love letter to anime and art... Not only a love for what we see on the screen, but to those who tirelessly work behind the scenes and to the fans who watch it.

But I would like to add to that statement... 

It is also a love letter to life... To our inspirations, our aspirations, to our friends, to our families, to what makes us laugh, to what makes us cry, to what makes us love...

I think we each see piece of ourselves, our lives, through our favorite characters and sometimes our most hated characters. This is true for all media, not just anime.

Sometimes we just want to escape, but our favorite stories push us to become better, stronger, to follow our dreams.... To become artists, engineers, scientists, doctors, astronauts, ect. And for some the strength to stand up to adversity, stand against abuse, come out of the closet, ect.

This is the power of good storytelling, art, film, books, songs, television, and yes anime.

It is for this reason I say that Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Is the anime of the year and decade. For best storytelling, best characters, best art design, best sound design, and maybe a few more things I'll think of later. Lol
