Take an obscure racing sport and place it on a small summery green island, bring in all girl racing teams for an annual racing event and you get 2 Car. It's a fun sports anime with each of the racing teams having relationship issues ranging from misunderstandings, jealousy and love triangles that threaten to take them off their racing game. The animation is quite good and the sound is as well. Fan service is really not a feature of this series. I read a review that said all this series was is fan service. It is plainly not and that was off the mark. There are a few moments with tropey cliche' scenes and characters but they are minor.  Its a decent story presented well. The main characters struggle with their crushes on their coach and that propels them to race harder to win so that they might win his favor. Animation is really good during racing scenes and the sound compliments that well. All in all 2 Car a decent little series in the sports/ slice of life genre. It can be a welcome change of pace from a diet of occult mecha violent shonen ecchi whatever genres.
