Although it’s anime, this is very much an “American B Movie Horror” type of film, with all of the tropes that come along with. Boobies, fan service lesbians, corny monsters (in this case, giant bugs) obnoxiously stereotypical characters, decisions that make no sense, useless cellphones...just your classic, cheesy thriller. Honestly, my biggest gripe with this film is the abrupt ending, which I assume is supposed to imply that a sequel is in the works. Nevertheless, its all enjoyable for what it is. If you’re looking for any resemblance of a serious plot or story, this definitely isn’t it.
