Absolute waste of my time.

All of the characters were either bland or fucking annoying. The only one I really cared about was Kai so it just pissed me off even MORE when no one tried to help him - 3 -

I thought I would be disgusted by this movie because I hate bugs but I ended up disgusted by how horrible the CG bugs look!

Ooooo lesbians and fanservice is all we need for a good movie!~ No it fucking isn't! They can't put these characters here, give me no information about them and expect me to care about their survival while shoving random tits in my face! Hell, I didn't even know Kai's name until an hour in :/

And to top it all off they have Mutsumi walk for a fucking minute down a hallway during the climax for NO REASON.

Also nice open ending. To lazy to finish the shortest movie I've ever seen? The ending actually leaves more questions than answers, introducing three new characters AT THE END of the movie!

Enless their planning a sequel for this which I will be skipping thank you very much - 3 -

P.S: That pink haired girl (don't give a shit about her name) is the worst. A useless, annoying brat who I can't even rant about because she's not even listed as a fucking character! >:(

This movie is a prime example of how to take a decent idea, and completely destroy it with poor production decisions. From the very first character interaction, you’re left with an extremely rushed and underdeveloped feeling. This feeling only intensifies throughout the rest of the story.

The animation quality is all over the place, and not in any sort of artistic way.

The attempts at building suspense all missed the mark, and none of the characters have any depth. The “heroine” of the story is the only character with any value, and even she has nothing redeemable going for her.

The minimal attempt at science and the biology of the island are oversimplified and add nothing to the story.

I assume the nonexistent ending was intended to be a cliffhanger, but it failed.

Even the fan service aspects have zero effect on the story and don’t even make sense.

Honestly, the only good thing about this movie is how bad it is.

It's the B film that 2020 needs but doesn't deserve.

Every genre needs a cult classic that's so bad it's good. This is a candidate for 2020. The cheesy storyline, characters, effects.....It screams SYFY 2 am movie of the week.

Don't come here to expect something other than just plain fun. It's a brain melter at best. Something to literally kill time and brain cells. It even has smut fanservice to boot.

If you are a fan of cheesy B flicks that has pointless sex, no decent storyline, no character development and want to slowly die inside then I'd recommend this as a must-watch. Hate a family member or AP member? Giver them this as a secret Santa.

Imagine the worst B movie you've seen, where the acting is stiff and the plot is contrived, and the special effects are blatantly bad. Now turn that into an anime. It's so bad it's almost great, except not really.

Story: Bunch of high schoolers wash up on an island for plot reasons (plane crash) and quickly discover that A) The island was inhabited but nobody's around, and B) The island is full of crazy-big insects. That's basically it. The rest is an hour-long sequence of running from place to place trying to escape the bugs and/or rescue someone who was taken by bugs. Not bad for a B movie plot, but the worst part is that it doesn't even properly end. The movie just kind of stops without any resolution.

Animation: Pretty bad. Body proportions are all over the place, lots of still images just panning across the screen, and basically all foreground elements are unnervingly flat thanks to bad/no shading. The 3dCGI bugs are surprisingly better than the actual character animations, and that's not saying much. The best part of this is the pretty background scenery, but that's about it.

Sound: Easily the best part of the show, but it's still pretty mediocre. Voice Acting is obviously hammy, and even though the soundtrack is pretty jammin', they reuse the same tracks over and over to the point it gets annoying.

Charaters: Just as mediocre as the story itself. Everybody is a 1-dimensional trope. You have the popular chick who's a manipulative bitch and uses her body as leverage. You have the jock who thinks he knows best and takes the "leader" role without any qualification. You have the Sportsy chick who doesn't really do anything but talk big. You have the shy/afraid/dainty girl who just clings to everyone else screaming "save me!" at every slight movement. You have the "Heroine" who is just a nerd that knows about bugs. Probably the most dynamic character is the dude with dreadlocks that starts off appearing to be the jock's asshole friend, but ends up being totally super-nerd with computers and actually nice.

Overall: Just shy of being one of those "Cult Classic" horror B movies that are so bad and over the top they're good, and just ends up being... bad. I won't say I regret watching it, but I doubt I'll even remember this trash in a few months.

The base idea of the movie is interesting, but there are a few very unlikable characters and unnesecary edgy moments. It also felt as if the movie didn't want to finish its own story. You're midway in to their survival, having astablished a cast of characters that you sort of want to survive, just to have the movie cut it off. Because of that the story leaves you with more questions than answers; why are the insect to big? What did he saw in the hospital? What happend to the island?

Overall it left me with a 'meh' feeling after watching it.
