I'll be honest, I'm unsure how people are talking about this so positively when the characters are incompetent beyond belief. It's supposedly a psychological horror (upon other things), but I have found neither of these elements in reading the 8 chapters I did before giving up. It is unbelievably frustrating with how clumsily this is put together.
[Spoilers]
One of my biggest issues stems from the immortal character, who rivals Nana, and the one who has precognitive dreams transferred to pictures.
For the former: when Nana attempts to kill him in the abandoned shack via gas and fire, and he comes out and collapses. Why did she approach him with nothing in hand? Why did he grab her and begin questioning her? It makes absolutely no sense to me why these occurred, or for what reason. He could easily have kept her guessing on why he's perfectfully find the next day, but instead he just straight up tells her his ability? What kind of dumb move is that? If you've read Ajin, you'd know there's an insane amount of ways to incapacitate those with regenerative abilities. The fact that she doesn't even began thinking of those things upon that reveal is absolutely beyond me.
For the latter: Why did this dumbass not have an insurance plan even know he knew his death was inevitable? Do you just not want to out a killer? What possible benefit would there be to not tell anyone about this in case you suddenly go missing? I can't imagine it'd be hard to have friends, even with how the school environment is. Post pictures up on the wall by photo copying them before the day you know you're going to die. That'll certainly cause some intense drama, and Nana is gonna have yo figure out how to talk herself out of it. But, nope. It ends with a stupid conversation with his dead corpse right next to her, and the two who stumbled upon them doesn't think it's remotely suspicious and easily believe her lies.
Unbelievable.
When it comes to the characters, why it just so randomly brought up that a new character appears when the whole class should've been introduced? This isn't how you write a psychological story, folks.
With the killing of these kids, how has no news broke out about kids being sent to an island and never returning? Having there be a person leaking this shit to the public would make for a much greater plot than whatever the hell this is meant to be. People are dead and the families don't remotely question it (aside from protag-kun). There's so many holes in this story that I wasn't even satisfied with.
