Kiki's is great. I think it really does stand out among the other Ghibli films. The main character is thrust into an unfamiliar world, and she has to adapt to cope with that world. It doubles as a pretty well executed coming of age film as well, and it is all wrapped up in the warmth and nostalgia that Ghibli delivers so well. The ending is a little bit cheesey in my opinon, but if you don't mind that sort of thing, then this movie is a delightful nostalgia trip. If you are not one for nostalgia, then I guess for you I guess it's just a well animated kids movie with really beautiful music.
