Plot wise, they aren't all that simular. However, they have simular tone and in both series the characters actually develope. Basically, I don't know why, but they reminded me of eachother.

I agree completely with what someone else said. Plot-wise, not very similar. But the mood is very similar  - calm and relaxed with deep emotion that develops slowly. Neither are dramatic and both are very lovely.
