Kawaii Hito (Ken SAITOU) - Reviews

If you like heart-warmig, drama-free slice of life romamce, then you will love this. Personally, I tend to find that genre a bit dull, but I still enjoyed this manga. I LOVED the male MC -he really is adorably creepy. I also appreciate that the mangaka remained faithful to his off-putting appearance and did not give him a "makeover" halfway through (at least this is true up until chapter 15, which is the extent of the English translation right now). The cast of secondary characters was also good. The only character that I didn't care for was the female MC. She was a bit of a one dimensional Mary sue whose main purpose seemed to be serving as a foil to the male MC.

I would also recommend this to readers who are looking for romance that is NOT written in a school setting. Both characters are in their twenties. The female MC is still in college, but nothing really takes place in that setting. Most of the plot takes place in the male MC's workplace. While this manga definitely falls into the shoujo category, it has more similarities with josei than most.

It is a really sweet story about two people who had abandoned the idea of love, one for being repeatedly harassed by pretendents anf the other for having everyone who looked at him run away with the fear of life.

the story isn´t that complex or anything but the main characters go throught some real problems while slowly moving forward and sweetly pushing each other, it might sugar coat some edges of life but it manages to deliver a really heart warming story.

One of my favourite manga. I think this is so adorable and sweet, and Hanazono is so cute!! I only wish it went on longer so I could see more of their relationship, maybe marriage.
