I never prefered the childhood bestie, but this anime just had a better childhood best friend character. I mean like Yasuna had a personality of paper, but Tomari out here had a p e r s o n a l i t y. And character development. Love her, she could be my bestie, would also love to see her with Ayuki (idk if I got her name right, but the pretty girl with glasses).
