@GigiPiggyshima, I'm fairly certain that's contradicted elsewhere, namely when they expressly identify as a boy. From what I know, and I am an anime-only fan so I may be missing something, I'd say it'd be a safer bet to simply descirbe them as gender nonconforming more broadly speaking or nonbinary.
