If there were any sucessors out there who could take over D instead of Tanaka, it would either be Koyasu, Tsuda or Yamazaki.

He's so awesome!!! Vampire Hunter D was one of the first anime movies I watched as a kid. I love his independent-outcast, quiet demeanor.
