A sad attempt to be extra silly with an already sufficiently-funny and interesting anime series.

I wish the writers of Detective Conan would end these spin offs and movies and focus on the main plot that they keep dragging out.

I like Detective Conan, but this is pitiful. Dropped.

It is very cute and funny. The show follows around a wannabe killer in a slice-of-life format. It is a satire of Detective Conan so if you haven't watched it some jokes and references may fly over your head but it's a funny quick entry to the franchise. It is certainly worth a watch

One of the funniest anime I've seen in a while! I would gladly watch this again and probably still laugh at the same parts. 😌 The episodes are pretty short and feel kind of like a slice-of-life type anime....which is kind of what this is? It's a good anime to watch when you need a good laugh.

Its cute and I love characters where their real appearances are a mystery, BUT OH MY DAYS the only 'story' is hanzawas life becoming progressively worse and worse and him losing more testosterone each episode. The anime had no resolution or anything, it feels like they ran out of budget in writing so they had to end it with such a shitty and unfufilling ending where Hanzawa doesnt satisfy any of his objectives and works 9-5 over 5 days a week because all his co-workers are detectives and that stupid "Im sure someday I'll become a culprit!". I loved the roomate guy but whats the point of introducing such a charming and impressionable character just to completely remove them from the story within 2 episodes (Hanzawa doesnt even visit him or anything even though he supposedly became the first friend he could open up to and even killed somebody for hanzawa/himself)

Apologies if I'm coming of dramatic or overly critical, Im simply dissapointed because IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL, it wouldve been cool if he actually became a culprit, or didnt fufill his original objective but in a surprising turn of events solved a murder, or got falsely imprisoned and had to prove his innocence, or atleast revealed his real appearance at the end, BUT NOTHING HAPPEND. It serves closer to a slightly below mediocre slice of life anime, but even slice of liofe animes have some kind of story that evokes any emotion other then dissapointment and pity. All this anticipation and potential dropped into the bottom of a bottomless pit. It felt like a chef served me a massive dish with a silver cloche dish lid, and when the lid was lifted, it turns out the plate contained one tiny peanut. At the first episode I was squirming in anticipation at what development would happend, because personally, I love spinoffs like these and these KINDS of characters, and tbh Im not very picky with anime unless its ultra weird. BUT THIS WAS DISAPOINTING, IM SORRY. Im sure the writers worked hard and were overwhelmed due to demand or the already on going series case closed, but even so I feel like it had so much room for improvement. No complaimts about art or animation, sound is pretty average (in a good way, I dont want to blame voice actors, music producers, or sound FX people for my personal dissapointment), and characters were full of unfufilled potential.

FIN.
