Satisfying Conclusion? ❓ (Story/conflict has no conclusion. Ending seemed to be more about looking at how the characters grown.)
Emotional?❌
Actual Romance?❌
Actual Comedy?❌
Fanservice/Nudity? ✔️ (no fanservice, some boobs tho. Always non-sexual. And almost always on nasty monster bodies)
Recommend? If you like lots of action fighting sequences, yes.

What is this anime?
Synopsis actually explains well. Boy meets claymore, who is a girl that fights monsters in their world.

Did I enjoy it?
Mmm story was good. That is about it. It started out strong. Was really looking forward to each new episode. rant incoming... Then it kinda went downhill. Half of the fights between claymores are "who can flail their sword around faster?" Literally them standing still with their arms going berserk at such speeds they about to warp into another dimension. In pretty much every fight there is so much of that "delayed blood spurts" where they get hit and then afterwards their blood comes spurting out with the fury of a thousand moons. I literally counted how long it took in one instance... 19 seconds... 19 SECONDS from getting sliced to having blood come out of invisible orifices like an internal pressure washer. Lots of overlooked action problems... one thing I remember is seeing a scene where 2 claymore sliced something midair. They are still midair while the sliced pieces are falling. Next scene, it shows the 2 claymore on the ground with the sliced pieces falling. All of these made it so difficult to get immersed in the story. Especially since a huge portion of the show is action fights, I can't overlook it. Good start, derailed fast. Could maybe recommend if you like typical shounen action/fighting shows. I almost wish there was a condensed version that cut out/condensed the fight scenes and just focused on the story, since that was the good aspect.

Claymore to me was a very interesting anime, that had action and not much less. The story is quite weak, the characters were insufferable (with none of the have any more emotion then a door) and the main character is about as thick as two short planks.

So why have i said that it was intersenting, because of the action. For the most part claymore is very action based anime, with some small (very small) touching moments sprinkled around. the fight scenes look great and are very fluid.

NOW SPOILER ALARM

There are some mager problems with the SO CALLED love story between Rocky and Claire which is hinted at, out of the blue near the end of the anime. plus the climax to me was a mager late down. they tried to link little things all together (like in the ending everyone found out that they know each other, and then rockey convinces Claire that she should not become a monster ect).

The deaths to me where also a bit sloppy, one secound you would find out something about them and the next they where death. Not givving anytime to let the audience get to know them. some characters where just killed with out use even knowing their names (making me not give to shit if they were death or alive. I COULDN'T REALLY CARE.)

SPOILER OVER

Final Thoughts

i think that this anime is something that out could get thought in 1 to 2 days, its not for everyone so if your not into blood, boring characters and actions then this is not for you. If you do decide to watch it i hope that you like mmore than i did.

At first I had a hard time deciding if whether I should watch this or trash it into the void of the anime's underworld. Despite its gore, plot, and  lame main character, this anime has indeed far exceeeding my expectations in regards to my standard 2007ish anime taste.

Anyways, just let me clear up the soot from my throat: RAKI is an unnecessary character.... pricking wuss, and literally destroyed the show dampening its brilliance. He was greatly insufferable that I have to skip the moments he appears on screen.

Nonetheless, disregarding Raki, this was a great show and a must-watch for someone who  wants some action and a breathe of fresh air from today's conventional anime.

*breathes deeply thrice*

Alright, let me continue.

Story: The plot itself was realyl good until the ep where the fight with the Silver-eyed king happened. Afterwards, it went downhill from there really fast (maybe since Raki was more unbearable than the normal unbearable). Supposedly, some people said, that the manga adaptation of the anime ended at the 20ish episodes, and the story really kinda digressed from there so consider it non-canon. And the fact that Raki in the manga wasn't supposed to appear at these supposed part was something I'm really of.

Anyway, so the plot is about Clare who seeks revenge for a certain Yoma who took someone special from her. Pretty much the story stayed on its course until the nuisance Raki blew it up. Overall, 7/10; hope a modern anime studio will recreate this (without Raki pls -or at least make him less insufferable).

Animation: Despite having a 1990ish vibe, it's animations are fluid and not clunky. However, comparing it with the mainstream animes right now, this can't raise a candle. However, I'll give due credit and give it a 5/10.

Sound: OMG the drumrolls everytime when something suspensful happens have me rolling in laughter.  And all of the characters' voice sound like they have a stuff nose or whatever. Not too good, not too bad; so I'll give it a 5/10.

Characters: All of the characters are actually well-written. You can definetely feel the reason why they are who they are, and the motivations they have. EXCEPT RAKI, duuudee, this prick just ruined everything. With that I'll give it an above average(should have been higher if Raki was more well-written) score: 7/10.

Overall: A measly above average would suit this one: 6/10. So far, it was one of the good classic anime I've watched in a while. I would strongly suggest you watch this one! Have fun!

                     SPOILER!!!!!!!!

I'll keep this short, as a person who starts an anime completely blind. I have very little information for making a complete and trustworthy judgement.

So its just gonna be my opinion as watcher.

I think its a Fine anime to watch even if someone doesnt like dark fantasy like me. Its quite enjoyale a bit slow and sometimes boring but i teke it as plus, when you want to do someting else while watching.

The problem and the thing that can take this anime from decent 7 to a 5 or less is the ending and lack of character development to make it reasonable (I know they ended it in a hurry because of lack of funding or whatever, i take that as an understandable reason). But it really got me when i was watching episodes of streight fighting for what felt like days and suddenly there was a hint of a climax, something that would let you finish this anime without frustration. But they had to take Clare's whole reason to live and toss it in the trash. One slash and Priscilla would be dead but NO Roki spent few days with her. They werent friends or relatives, He even saw what monster she is. And that was anough of reason for him to stop Clare from doing what she wanted her whole life.

I cant even say how angry i am.

Claymore is a emotional anime with a deep plote. This is one of the anime I would watch overgain and I don't usualy do that, or not very often. The way the chariters met and interact is like there family and they now they have to fight but they will most likly die in the prosese.
