First I want to talk about the plot which is unique that I enjoy very much while watching it. It wasn't my first baseball anime so I clearyly understood what is happening in the game and anime but even also you dont know about baseball you can learn by watching it. so dont be hesitate about watching this just because you dont know baseball but if it bothers you so much you can google it. Also one of the best thing in this anime was character development I mean MC wasnt bad or good either so watching his deveopment and efforts to iprove is skills in baseball were quite good. Plus the rivalry between characters and balance of their friendship and rivalry keep you in the anime without any boredom. Since I like watching sport-schol anime I enjoyed while watching it. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes this kind of anime.

This anime is about a boy whos never been seen as a good baseball pitcher until a big sports team scouts him and sees promise in his ablilities. Diamond no ace has lots of character devopements and team work devopements. When i was watching this anime and i had  something to do so i would pause it i wouldnt stop thinking about it. When i was younger i played softball. When i was watching diamond no ace i wanted to play softball again even though i hated it when i was younger and quit.

First of all since its been a while since I watched the earlyepisodes to kick the series off and it's too long to watch even half of the series this will be a condensed review.

Ace of the Diamond is a series I said might as well watch it because it should really be a series that I might like though I hate baseball.

Now with this being the first and only anime series about sports that I have watched it really stood out with the story. The story of a pitcher who is horrible at first due to untamed abilty and improper style and wants to be the team's ace player though he is lacking in every aspect that defines a team's ace doesn't stop his hopes of standing on the mound in Japan's national tournament.

The characters really is what made me watch the series though I never expected to watch a 75 episode series after I watched Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and other series that had 100+ episdoes I wasn wondering how the series could strech that long. After seeing the first 15 episodes where I actually thought I was going to say "uncle I give!" I just couldn't wait to see more of the characters such as Eijun, Furuya, Jun, Miyuki and other characters on Siedou's team. The comedy and remarks just made it really show that an anime series can do old jokes and just present them in a new way so its funny all over again.

The animtion is a mix of works of art normally in the baseball games which sports series should do add more to the animation budget to have the focus of the series be the highlight of the series. The normal bench mark of the series such as early episodes that doesn't have that much to do with baseball is still good but the drop off in the animation style can be seen but not bad at all to view.

The sound is great but at times the sound does have a drop off in the games where I'm thinking where is the fan's pride for Seidou? Some episodes I can enjoy cranking the sound up on my Sony MDR-RF985 headphones and just feel like I'm watching the game live and then other times I'm just wondering did the crowd all get up and walk out during the game because the crowd is a big part of the sound and when they aren't really adding to the sound in the game I just get taken out of the mood of the series.

Overall I can say that this series really made a great impression on a genre of anime that I never really any intrest in because I tend to just fade from sport series though I did enjoy Prince of Tennis but never finished it.

I'm glad that this got a second season which really seems to be a new series with reoccuring characters but I'll save my review of Ace of the Diamond Second Season for its page and when it finishes it's run.

Thus far, one of the best sports animes I have had the pleasure in watching. One of the biggest strength of Ace Of Diamond is the variety of interesting characters and how much time is being spent developing the characters aside from the main character, Sawamura. It's an enjoyable anime I would highly recommend.

Ace of the Diamond is a funny and enjoyable anime that will keep you engaged till the very last second. It's a real thriller and makes you rush to the next episode without a doubt because of all the cliffhangers. The storyline really stood out. A player gets scouted into a powerhouse baseball school isn't that good at first due to his improper style and untamed ability but works hard to practice and hone his skills to become the team's ace player. Although he lacks (at first) aspects that defines the team's ace, it doesn't stop him from working hard and achieving his goal of becoming the ace and standing on top of the mound in the national tournament. The characters really kept the series alive with their funny remarks and actions which will make you die laughing. Overall, this anime left off a really good impression and piqued by interest in baseball which I never really had interest in before. Would definitely recommend to watch!
