*Reviewed from an outsiders perspective as I know nothing about the video game* The story for the most part seemed very slow and I was introduced to things that I had no idea about (like blastia) and some random cameo's from characters I assume are from the game, that go no where. It did pick up though in the second half, the two main characters were interesting and well developed, same with their commanding officer. Animation is great, soundtrack is great; from an outsiders point of view I really enjoyed it, though I'm sure fans of the game will get more out of it. It's just a fun film to me. More in... Deemed to be Studio Ghibli's worst film; I went in thinking 'it's from Studio Ghibli how bad can it be?'. I don't know if I'm looking to deeply into it, but this is possibley one of the worst film I have ever seen and it all comes from the story and the character, the two biggest parts of the film and they fuck it up. In the first 5 mins Prince Arren kills his farther the King, for possibly no reason and the movie wants us to feel sorry for him. Fuck you movie, I'm not going to feelsorry for a rich Prince who for no reason killed his farther and this guy is the King, right? So how come no one in the film... See full review
Charming is the ultimate word to describe this film. And from a Studio Ghibli film I don't think you would expect anything more, it isn't high on emotions like some of the studios previous efforts, but it has an extreamly like-able female lead in Arrietty and some of the best use in music I've seen from an anime, the music and soundtrack really up the experience and soely thanks to the music it offers very memorable scenes. Bottom line is I LOVE THIS FILM - more in video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRLyg96W0oc BBFC rating ... See full review
The Scared Blacksmith is a damn entertaining anime, but the plot is not clear and the ending leaves much to be desired. However the anime has a great cast of developed characters and the anime's strength is in its subtle character development. See full reviewThe anime has a great premise and the first 7ish episodes are very well done, but then the anime seems to run out of idea's and keeps on introducing random characters, who get pumped off at the end of the episode (making that episode pointless); To Love-Ru just has too many filler episodes for me to recomed it, however it has a great lead female and a very funny suporting cast as well as some scenes of subtle character development. More in video review, this review is the first episode of my series 'Sex God anime reviews', I got the idea from B Gata H Kei to do a Sex God and he first appears in that... See full review
