If you liked the dark humour featured in Zetsubou Sensei you will most definitely like Splunker Sensei.

Both feature an incredibly strange teacher and the various encounters that they experiences.

Some people will not like Splunker Sensei it has a very unusual sense of humour, regardless I'd highly recommend each for one another, as both had me in stitches.

Both shows are very funny and contain a sort of off-beat humor. While SZS might not share the sexual humor, the fast pace and the racyness of the comments do make this show more appropriate for older audiances.

After Shinbo came to Shaft, their animating style became almost religious, and since both anime come from studio Shaft, they share the same overal feel. Both are funky and bizzare to boot. But biggest similarity would definitely be the comedy.

If you enjoyed one for any of the mentioned, then you could also check out the other one.

Two amazing comedic shows featuring the teacher and the students.

But, neither the teacher nor the students are in anyway normal (except for normal girl in Zetsubou Sensei). Both shows show conflict between the students and the teacher in the most humorous ways.

Humor in both shows are similar. They utilize play on words, puns, and pure ridiculousness and juxtapose them with the underlying serious motifs, such as 'despair.'

Once again, two great shows if you want to laugh about serious matters.

Tanaka-kun is Always Listless

Tanaka-kun is Always Listless

Adapted from the popular web manga series published by Square Enix, this unconventional, surrealist comedy follows an exhausted high school boy who, despite multiple attempts from his friends, still manages to spectacularly… sleep. Much to the chagrin of the energetic (at times bossy) Ohta, Tanaka is often found in a blissful state of lethargy, possessing the ability to doze off in any situation, especially in mid-sentence!

If you liked Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, you'd also like Goodbye, Despair Teacher, because both animes has kinda similar humour form, both are funny and has 'messages between lines'.
