I went into this knowing that the story was going to be a bit cliche. I don't usually have a big problem with this, but this just reads like the most basic poor girl x royalty story ever. The author seems to have read a bunch of stories like this and just puked some royalty romance concepts on paper. A cold ML? Check. (but with no redeeming qualities so far) An evil ex? Check. (but one who has been close friends with the FL since they were children and still sells her to SLAVERY cuz she called him a name????) Author attempts to check off the charismatic and clever female lead box but accidentally makes her stupid instead. 

Overall not a fan. Who knows though...maybe it'll get better and I can change my review in a few months.
