Well this starts off right where the first movie ended. It's a shame that things have to be cut and some characters are reduced to barely any screen time, some things were changed a few minor items and one significant. There were some edits that were strikingly noticable if you're familar with the original series. Being a big fan of the original series, the changes did not take away enjoyment from the movie. The new animation was very detailed and looked great. There was more new animation in this movie compared to the first. It didn't clash with the older animation to me. The music was really good. The original series had excellent incidental music which was not changed. There was some new music added which was good. Condensing a 50 episode series into a movie cut out a ton of character development. Some characters were reduced to shadows of themselves which is a shame. Considering the limitations due to time constraints I can't hold it against the movie. It was still enjoyable. Overall I recommend this movie to any Gundam fan, watch the first movie first of course. Die harders may see things to hate about it, but it's just a "new translation". Enjoy it for what it is.
