Review for both seasons of Owari no Seraph. Honestly whats there not to love? A post apocalyptic, desolate world with underground vampire cities and demons that posses weapons? Hell yea! The story follows two childhood friends who due to their nature became family and who ended up on the opposite sides of the main conflict (which is humans vs vampires ofc). What they do have in common though is that they both, unbeknownst to each other, want to save and reunite with one another. Its also really interesting to see how their interactions with the people around them change their personality, although they are both pretty single - minded. One that grew up with vampires goes from being a seemingly happy, full of energy boy, to being cold, reserved and secretive and the other while still rebellious learns to slow down a bit and finds the value of life in the faces of his squad members. There is also a great love chemistry between the two protagonists which adds so much drama to the whole situation. The landscapes are great and so are the charachter designs. The only thing that sadly Seraph of the End falls short is the fighting sequencies and the choreo which are rather underwhelming most of the times. Still i gave it a 5 stars cause personally i am weak for subtle gay relationships in fantasy. There is poetry, there is symbolism, there are tears and feels and i couldnt get enough, im buying the manga next.
