This anime is about a cooking prodigy who sets out to one of the world's most competitive culinary schools via suggestion by his Dad. It feels weird giving this anime a 9. Honestly in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't deserve one. While I was watching it I was like this anime is a solid 8, but then I started putting in my individual scores for the story and such and when I was done it was nearly all 9's and 10's. It feels even worse cause I just finished full metal alchemist and gave that a 9.5. And that has way more depth and story building then this DX. i'm honestly a horrible rater and you should just ignore my reviews from here on out.

That being said, here's my review.

I loved the comedy and ridiculousness of this anime. Its kinda reminds me of how much I enjoyed No Game No Life. Even though I knew those 'siblings' would win everytime I was still on edge to see how it would happen and I devoured that show. This one I took at a reasonable pace and you know what, the main character doesn't always win and thats so nice. He does win a lot though XD, and its fun! You're on edge and you want to see more!

The ecchi in this anime is a bit intense, I think its funny but its definitely not for everyone. Its like porn but with food, they orgasm when the food is too good. I got lots of laughs and really enjoyed watching this show.

A few problems I have with this show though is that it literally takes them an enternity to describe a dish sometimes! Like the last competition on the last 5 episodes was starting to get painful with the endless descriptions. Like bro I get it, can we get to the main character now???

Still really good show, definitely up for watching the continuing seasons!

8.5/10 story
10/10 animation
9/10 sound
10/10 characters
9/10 overall
