It must be nice to be an android. Something you don’t know? Simply install it. Masato isn’t an android, but his neighbor is, and he has been entrusted with looking after it. The android known as Koto Nakahara appears to be almost identical to a human, but if she goes without water, her fuel source, for too long… she could explode! With tests looming over, will Masato be able to study for his exams and be able to keep an eye on Koto the android?

After being nicknamed "Princess Goth Chick" because of her behavior in elementary school, Komachi Tamamura spent three years as a hikikomori. Since she continued to ditch even after in high school, her sister Chacha sent her Nanado Nado Nado, a friendship android to lead Komachi back to real life interactions in school! Nanado's official name is "Code 7D-O", but she is rarely called that. She is bright and optimistic, and doesn't think too much about things. She can perform general living activities such as talking and eating, just like humans, so that she does not seem to be an android. While she can emit a beam from the eyes and has 100 language modes, she does not have enough arithmetic functions for high school.

Gifuko is a robot in the form of a cute little girl. Unlike other robots, Gifuko is able to feel emotions and learn new ones by experiencing them. She lives with a professor who always has a bear mask on and goes on daily adventures outside to learn new emotions. As she becomes friends with all the people in her town, she is able to sync up their emotions with hers and downloads it into her own data file. With each new friend she makes and every connection Gifuko makes with them, she becomes closer to becoming human.
