The Hopeless Desire of a Witch Manga

A charitable count offers to adopt young Kaidel into a life of nobility, and the orphan boy only has to pledge one thing in return: follow the "ember" and seek out the witch that set fire to his childhood village. Raised as a skilled fighter in a family of alchemists, Kaidel now sets out to find the white-haired witch. When he finally encounters a woman with flowing white hair, she is kind and gentle--contrary to the rumors spread by other villagers. Could the sweet Eleanor be the same witch from his nightmares? It was interesting at first, but soon became clear that 95% of it is just your typical plot of everybody hiding their identity, piling up secrets and misunderstands and playing pretend. Paired with an unrealistically dense MC and a forceful villain who is always hovering around forcing and disrupting the lead characters, all of it just feels it's set up really poorly. Those plots always make me feel like as if they only exist to prolong the status quo and prevent whatever story COULD have been developed. Of course there will be a bigger picture in the future - hints are already given. But I won't be there until then, because -no matter what- the style won't change if it was kept for 33 chapters already. Well, an audience for this stuff definitely exists, but I'm not one of them.

It was all nice and happy, but in my opinion, the ending ruined the whole novel completely. It could have had a happy fluffy ending, but no it had to have a twisted grotesque ending. I won't say how it ended, but I recommend against reading the whole manga until the end

it's a great manga but sometimes the characters piss you off . The storyline is great not the best to me but if you like Romance manga that has witches, or immortals you may like this may like this manga. it's not my favourite but it's ok to me, but the art in this manga is amazing.
