*Hype intensifies!*

Bradalee can't love this anime enough

How i look forward to this one, nothing like them adorable creatures coming back.

The first couple of seasons of this show were a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I should have hated everything about both seasons but I ended slightly enjoying both. I'm not hyped for a third season, but it probably won't be the worst thing I watch this season.

That being said this is yet another sequel that is just too cool for a number because you know it doesn't get confusing talking about Dog Days vs Dog Days' vs Dog Days". At least its still not as retarded as Square Root of A.

We will still just call it dog days season 1 season 2 and season 3 regardless of what they name it. Unless one day the actually make a dog days named ''dog days season 2'' I'm looking it you Monogatari season 2.

As long as one day we aren't going to be talking about Dog Days"""""""""""""""""""""" then I guess things will be okay.

Episode 1

Awh, yes. Bradalee's guilty (tsundere) pleasure has returned. Some blatant CGI once again and the actual production value increased again, I have no idea what kind of ridiculous budget this series has considering how long it has been in production. The seiyuu-porn level was a bit low this time around. Although at least 2 notable seiyuu's have already spoken a bit some of them haven't yet.

Still the seiyuu's that have spoken up weren't the least known to say the least. Noire ( hanakana ) was the most notable character that didn't open her mouth, but considering her stoic personality that isn't really unfitting. Other seiyuu's that didn't speak simply didn't appear on screen. All in all this is still seiyuu porn level was only low on the account that most screen time was given to the new character and nanami & shinku leaving other characters with only one line to utter. Yukikaze's ( Kana Asumi's ) part was so ridiculously cut that the scene cuts right after she says 3 words after appearing on screen for about 15 seconds.

Nanami was the first source of fanservice this season going topless for about 40 seconds of screentime to dry her clothes giving us a good view of how she is developing.

The ED's''animation'' is brilliant while simple. The opening and ending theme are generic stuff we've gotten used to with this show, very lighthearted japanese pop.

Etue loves his porn xD

anyway, i have got to stop looking for new episodes at 1-2am, it only makes me want to watch 'em, well this is another to hold for me, i decided to re-watch S1 and S2 first because i love them so much, just finishing S1 again at the moment. I'm bothered by your comment on lacking screen time to characters, i personally was against the new character being added (have we not enough?) so to hear them leeching screen time bothers me, well i will see in a few days anyway so i wont judge yet.

Episode 2

HanaKana (noire) spoke quite a lot, AsuKana got a decent amount of lines. Seiyuu porn is in full throttle . Brioche ( youko Hikasa ) showed up and got a nice amount of lines as well. So currently basically all major voice actors and some more minor ones have returned with speaking parts.

The episode took a weird direction in that it did a few things unexpected for me.
The re-union was surprisingly fast as was the fact that all the characters that hadn't had lines in the prior episode got lines this episode. The re-union was nicely large scale and the characters are as lovely as ever. The fanservice was very limited this time around. With a flat/boob grab there twice and some holding each other with the now loli-esque character. I say loli-esque because in the scene with Noire and Riccota she towers over them. She's almost as tall as Shinku in some scenes as well, still she's utterly flat by design so tall-ish-loli it is.

Further the series delivers on the promises about building more of its world with the natural forces being under evaluation. While some characters are rather passive still a lot of them have started moving, most notably the most hot headed / hyper active of them headed out first which is nice for character consistency. It's amusing that those that left randomly still arrive earlier than those that stayed behind the the exception of couverte / beccy since she has a flying force. However the time between Gaul arriving and them is rather short, but whatever.

Right im now watching this, done with my re-watches and well i wont lie, i have been craving this series more than most.
Episode 2
I liked it! For starters, the new girl - in truth i thought i wouldn't like her (before airing), i always am too cautious and on edge of new characters being added to a well established series but i wont deny, i have been wrong thus far, she is quite a nice addition, cute and just a perfect addition to the many girls Shinku is busy pulling.
Anyway, right into the episode, i thought all was well done, sure some scenes are cut short but anyone who has watched the previous series should be aware this isn't uncommon, we got to see most characters make their return this episode which put me in high spirits, honestly anyone in Biscotti (I wont dwell on my inability to spell with this series) scores well with me but DD is one series i actually don't generally dislike characters all too much (which always means it gets a next to perfect score for them.

I do enjoy the ever expanding world as well, i was expecting new character would = new nation but i like it wasn't, it's nice to see new countries and such but it's predictable, whilst finding the dragons forest isn't so much what i expected, and i of course love that very aspect, but in truth it's just nice seeing what this rather odd fantasy like world has in store.

I liked Shinku/Nanami at the start, showing off their hero glory, made them kind of cool, but nothing tops when he was holding what's her name (dragon priestess), how adorable :)
In short, i am enjoying my dog days fix once again and it feels great!

Episode 3

It was somewhat the be expected, just like the second season the ''serious'' plot mostly ends here . I expect the following episodes to be light hearted fun and games just like the prior season was mostly fun and games.

I have to say Yukikaze was more ''boing boing'' than ever in this series plenty of attention drawn to it too, I guess they know what sells. Nanami also seems to have a bright future ahead of her, of course she's not quite the biggest character in this series but she certainly has a healthy offering to say the least.

As far as plot goes the episode is incredibly straightforward wasted little to no time on making this seem more intricate and deep than it really is. The awkward reporting for a serious battle aside we can see that nobody is risking their lives in this other than the heroes of course.

Demonking, heroking and Brioche don't get to do any fighting as their ridiculously powerful selves which isn't that baffling, albeit Brioche not showing up with Yukikaze was rather surprising but alas she shoes up with heroking and demonking.

Other than all three heroes and the dragonpriestress, all princesses get screentime, albeit only leon and milhi get a ''badass'' moment while Couverte only get's used as a (charismatic?) exposition device and some loli-service.

This episode really doesn't leave it to your imagination to what the specified chest sizes of the female cast are. Unsurprisingly Sharu our beloved dragonpriestress is very much slight in the chest area not at all far from being completely flat.

I made an album of it for research purposes: http://imgur.com/a/apvy5

Reading back on my writing, the plot was very much top heavy albeit not equal in substance everywhere.

Episode 3
i liked it a lot, some small issues though, first, i felt this battle ended quite fast, second, though it was nether confirmed i was hoping the registered protection the nations have wouldn't apply here, it's not i want deaths but it seems this world is next to immune to death unless you fall directly to a demon (like the demon from the first series), seeing they still are protected kind of ruined the mobilisation of the 3 armies.
I felt it was quick as well, started and ended quite fast.

Anyway it was still great, the minor issues wasn't much compared to my enjoyment.
i like the priestess, i said this before but i am weary of new additions and she is pleasing me thus far.

A bit of fanservice thrown around, not quite sure what the light has to do with loosing your clothes but who cares.
I always like biscoti focus characters, Shinku (best hero), Milhi (best leader), Rico (best loli) and Yukikaze best bouncy (and just good anyway) and of course the adorable tsundere Ecalire :) always enjoy seeing the listed get screen time.

Yeah i expect now it will be fun and games, a episode doing nothing but quite life, then probably 2 or 3 episodes on a battle, then some more demon stuff before heading home. Not that i don't like this, i wouldn't watch the show otherwise.

On another note, nice album Etue, i can see you 'research' very hard xD *saves*
I must research this as well :balloon:

Episode 4

The dawn of fanservice orientated episodes. Leon-sama had a daring walk through the screen that is reminiscent of a certain high profile ecchi anime. We get some more lines from the hero-king and demon-king as this episode gives them a fair amount of screentime.

And then we have a lot more fanservice with another plot device introduced in the end that may or may not mean anything this season. Hanakana character Noire had a pretty short but nice scene once again but her partners didn't look bad either both during performance and after, innuendo intended.

Other than this the episode was mostly nothing amazing and doesn't bring much of anything new to the table but for fanservice maniacs it certainly gave them a decent serve. I enjoyed it like always, the bright characters in this anime are just that appealing, probably.

^The episode in a nutshell.
Fanservice and more fanservice, it wasn't a bad episode but nothing special. This is one of them series where unless something is terrible, most episodes are good just because i enjoy the characters, setting and the whole easy going pacing so yeah it was fine... but one of the lower ranking...

Needs more Biscotti .__.

Episode 5

Yukikaze's breasts had sound effects, lot's of sound effects, how ero.

Lot's of boing boing with boing boing sound effects.... how ero.

''How ero'' is how much of this episode could be described.

I'm surprised about the minature princess not also falling in love with him in an obvious manner.

Also: new characters in the OP that haven't shown up yet? Oh my.

The final scene was unexpectedly uninteresting and not as ero as you would have thought from what it was about...

But we had ourselves cute dog aired/ fox aired girls in erotic poses, so that's 50% of the series premise right there.

I find it amazing how everything in this bounces, even the small chests manage to bounce, and yes then Yuki's chest actually has sound effects xD
but damn i hate them forest creeps, creepy little freaks.

Confused why Eclaire's voice felt kind of... off to me this episode, hopefully it's me imaging things but something felt different, didn't help with her not being in it much though.

I love how monsters in anime always manage to put girls in such poses when 'pinning them' with their variation of slime o.o

Yeah ending was oddly not so fun, i expected it to be more standard, might sound odd but usually it's more entertaining in these cases xD

Episode 6

Mystery character from the OP has finally appeared. Only to not leave that great an impression. Lot's of fighting and action with a budget to match this time around. The final battle was entertaining and this episode while not great in the beginning ended with a high-note.

Episode 6
yeah i wasn't so fussed when it started how it did but it wasn't all bad, i didn't mind the battle with that kid. Can't say lots happened otherwise though, really it was a full Leo episode which being a lover of them adorable dogs wasn't scoring high with me but one thing i like about DD is that regardless who you favour, you never dislike anyone so i didn't mind, and lets face it, gallet not had any screen time in a while.

Wonder if the kid is gonna stay a while or not though.
not seen the dragon priestess in some time either...well other than some random one liners here and there.
