Im vin a creature from Leicester, UK. Im going to bite you!
I started off watching pokemon when that came on sky one in like 99. However soon DBZ started coming on Cartoon Network. That was infinitely cooler than the kiddy pokeymanz. Briefly saw some of the other series they were showing on there. But couldnt see many due to the fact I never got control of the tv. Then the anime got put on CNX a channel we didnt have. So I couldnt really see anything for a few years. Then when I was killing time in the library at collage I found this magazine called SFX. There was this article on anime films and a synopsis of several. Allsuspiciouslyreleased by manga entertainment ... I suspect it may have all been a big ad. I read about Ghost in the shell and how it was the inspiration for the matrix. A film I loved as a teenager. And also Akira which sounded pretty cool. So I went onto play.com ordered the DVDs since they were pretty cheap, and that led me to becoming an anime fan. Years later Id recall that Id actually seen Laputa as a child when i was very very young and had a very poor memory of it. The part that stood out was when the robot thing was walking up a flaming staircase. I remember being scared of staircases for a while.. So laputa would be my first anime.
When I rate anime I tend to look at all parts of it as a whole, but my enjoyment of it can push the rating up or down. But at some point soon Im going to have to redo many of the the older ratings I have so far since I didnt put as much thought into them.

Hello! sothis is redesigning the anime-planet site, and plans to roll out an awesome new site design in July, we believe. The blog feature is not part of the new design, and it is going away. More information about this here: Announcement: the blog feature is being deprecated topic link. (Be sure to check out the new site design when it goes live!)
\r\nThe blog pages are going away, and will be gone when the site redesign goes live. Your blog here will be removed from the site.
\r\nSo, if want to keep the information posted in your blog, you will need to copy this information someplace else on the site. If you have any questions how or where to do this, please feel free to get back to me, and I will try to assist.
Oi, where have you ran off to? :hmmm:
I see how I am left out of the skype business :-P
Glad to hear (or technically read) from you! Aside from TSR and Skype, I didn't really know how to contact you because, as you're probably aware, I don't use Facebook or Twitter. I'm glad you're keeping well and busy. As it happens, I'm off work on Monday, so we should be able to catch up properly then about what you've been doing and likewise. I'll be assured to remain on Skype throughout the day. :)
